Hey guys, first I want to say thank you to everyone who are expert users and help those who are new. I currently work for a company in DevOps from a technical standpoint I feel like I am taking a step backwards regarding toolsets. That being said I am familiar with HTML , CSS, little java (am learning more). I currently do not see the need for MERN stack and I feel WordPress will be the best option for my use cases (designing 4-5 page sites for a couple friends that own companies). I have purchased Oxygen, Oxyextras. I am currently going through a quick refresher of a coding bootcamp I took 3 or 4 years ago.

With the knowledge above what are some ways I can fast track best practices when building with Oxygen. I am new to this , I feel I am making things more complicated than they need to be. I have a dev and pro environment both identical, fresh WP install. Only addons I have currently are Oxygen builder, Oxygen Gutenberg, Fluent Forms and OxyExtras. Ideally I would like to complete my sites with these design sets.

If anyone would be willing to take it a step further and have a 1 on 1 session I would be up for compensating. Once again thank you for your time.

you’re overthinking it imo, just be consistent with your design by being familiar with how oxygen works with its selectors

and oxygen isn’t doing anything special wrt to js, just have a jquery and js reference handy so you’re not reinventing the wheel

Check out BEM for naming your CSS classes, as maintaining a consistent convention throughout your builds will help your workflow. If you’re looking for a power tool to help you work smarter, you can’t go wrong with Editor Enhancer:
