I’m struggling to understand the difference between Single and Editable Reusable

I’m struggling to understand the difference between Single and Editable Reusable Parts – the terminology used isn’t exactly to me. Which one will change everywhere if I make a change, and which won’t?

Single = Single instance. Change once and gets changed everywhere.

Editable = Each instance is separate and independent of each other.

Single = Global part that if you make a change, it changes all instances of that part.
Editable = Not global and if you make a change, it only affects that singular part.

editable is like if you copied and pasted it into your design
single is the other one 🙂

Single = it adds the reusable part and it stays as it is and only adapts to changes if you modify the reusable part in templates (it stays linked to the reusable part in templates and is not editable)
Editable = it ads a single instance of your reusable part, but you can change it right there on the page. (Changes made to the reusable part in templates will not affect it, as it is not linked anymore to the reusable part template.)
    Hope this helps.

I had an issue with an editable part that was stilled tied to the background image. The text changed without affecting the part, but the bg image changed (and could change) the re-usable part. Weird.
