I’ve got a bit of an issue with anchor links again and was wondering if anyone had come across the same.
The site has 4 pages, and for one of them the navigation has a drop-down with anchor links to parts of the page. When you click one of these anchor links from any other page, it loads and takes you to the right section. I’m using section id as the anchor, and they’re all unique.
However, when you’re on that page the anchor links are erratic. Sometimes they move the browser window up, sometimes down, and sometimes clicking the same link has a different result.
I’ve never seen this behaviour before.
If I format the links like this, the links bounce all over the page when clicked.

If I format the links like this, it reloads the page whenever it’s clicked, and takes me to the right section.

I’m not sure what difference the / makes in the URL.
Can anyone help or offer anything for me to look at? I’ve worked with anchor links in plenty of websites before without an issue, but can’t figure out why this time it’s not working. It’s the first time I’ve tried using them in an Oxygen build.

    It needs to be /fishing#fishing-map

    /fishing/#fishing-map is effectively another page.

The /fishing part is what is causing the reload. If you have it as just #fishing-map it will be referencing the page it is on. However, if you’re on a different page, you’ll need the /fishing#fishing-map to get it to load the new page and then drop to the anchor.
