So I constantly hear coders nagging about wp builders and than I have seen so many websites with custom coded themes which are outdated, unsupported, or users get stuck with expensive developer for every little thing needed to be changed on their website. So what do you think is custom theme developing thing of the past and builders will take over the whole thing, or do we have to listen their nagging a bit more?

Depends on the functionality, design, and implementation required. Custom theme building is definitely still necessary for some sites. I built an ecommerce site that needed to work with a global cart across a WordPress Multisite network. Theme functionality had to work hand in hand with the multisite functionality. Using oxygen with that would have been a pain for a lot of reasons.

And you should think bigger; some companies have several developers on staff to deal with the site full time.

Always made custom themes and then built page content inside the builders, often making my own shortcode themed content and pasting that inside the builders. Customers love the builders, if you marry them up with page revisions and page cloning customers get a nice sandbox to play around with their ideas also.
