Working on a new website redesign for the lodge I work at and would love some feedback.

the current live website homepage is (made in drupal almost 10 years ago)

Would love to know how I can make everything / elements on page fade up automatically? Should I just use oxygens native animation globally or is there a better or light library recommended?

Also, on the part that says “gastronomy” it’s a flickity slider, however I noticed it’s jittery on mobile. Any way I can fix this?

Also any general constructive feedback is most welcomed.

Thanks 🙏🙏

    re: flickity slider
it is glitchy, especially on iOS, that’s why I’ve stopped using it, there is nothing you can do about it

    re: fade-in content
If you want to fade-in the whole page on load like I did here ( I can send you a code snippet that makes it automagically for every page.

Nice site overall. Love the feel and look of it.

I’d look at adding some animation, try the Locomotive scroll library. There was a tutorial recently on how to use it with Oxygen. I think that would make the site Wow visitors

    Looking great 👍

Only viewed on iPad. White gap on the right.

    Nice fonts and colours.

    On mobile.

I personally think see through menu is a bit distracting.

You also can’t click off the menu to close.

Since you have a video on home page i would put a preloader. I hate seeing those pixelated video icons when i first get there. It looks broken.

None of the links works on mobile. I’m sure that’s just temporary.

When going live, make sure you pre load all the pages for fastest experience.

All that said. I love the vibe. The font pairing. And the lime green highlights. Great job. 🙂

Great look but let down by inconsistent spacing and alignment of typography. I’m viewing on an iPad and some sections are very cramped vertically. Some headings are centred and some not. Just a bit of tweaking required and will be 💯.
